For home office equipment, the energy star label is used to identify models which have low energy usage in stand by mode.

For consumer electronics the GEA label is used which also reflects low energy usage in stand by mode.

The running cost is not calculated within this programme because typical usage varies considerably between households.

The information fiche comprises manufacturers information. This can be accessed by specifying manufacturer and the model. If the model is not known then it is possible to identify which models are stored in the database and from this select a model that is of interest.
